Toilets

There are two areas of the venue that contain accessible bathrooms, one on the lower level and one of the upper level of the building. Both sections include two (2) accessible stalls, spread between both the main male and female bathrooms. These stalls have extra wide doors and floor area, as well as safety handrails to allow better access and maneuverability than a regular stall. The external doors to the bathroom complex are inscribed in braille for vision impaired patrons.

Parking

There are four (4) designated ACROD bays available for use outside of the main entrance on either side of the main path up to the front door. Please note that these bays are often in use by one or several of the para-athletes who regularly use the facility. There are numerous other car parks available on site, and during specific events, can be artificially re-configured to offer more accessible bays if required.

Access around the venue

The entirety of the SpeedDome complex can be accessed by patrons with mobility issues or impairments. There are ramps throughout the internal layout of the building that you can traverse between the lower and upper level of the building, including access to viewing areas and the track.

Seating

Seating is usually unallocated at the venue, so there are no "official" accessibility seating bays. Seating can be accessed via a ramp from the main building. Stairs are required in order to ascend the tiered seating system. However, there are multiple viewing points that require no stair access to reach and provide a great vantage point.

Ticketing/Companion Card

SpeedDome does not charge entry for spectator guests for training and small event purposes, therefore not requiring a companion card. However, for large events run by external organisations, ticketing policies and entry fees may be subject to the terms and conditions of the host, so a need/allowance of a companion card may change. .

Assistance around the venue

If you require any form of assistance whilst at SpeedDome, please note that during regular training or local event mode, that staff will not be readily available to offer support, outside of a small number of operational staff. However, during ticketed and larger scale events, there will be VenuesWest affiliated workers who will be able to assist in whatever way they can. If you experience or perceive an issue whilst at the venue that is restricting our capacity to be as accessible as possible, please let us know and we will endeavor to improve.
