  1. Dave Philpot is a Senior Physiotherapist at Ascend Physiotherapy. Dave has been working with active patients for over 20 years and has consistently seen how exercise and good overall health can effect the pain of osteoarthritis. Dave will be discussing how you can approach working out and exercising while managing the painful condition of osteoarthritis. Dave says “we are becoming more and more aware that a diagnosis of osteoarthritis shouldn’t mean less activity. Choosing the right activity and managing your exercise loads can be very beneficial in treating the pain of osteoarthritis.”

Dave will be discussing this and will have time to answer your questions on how to live your best life with osteoarthritis.

  2. Peter Russell-Smith – Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer at HBF Stadium will also be giving you some tips on training with osteoarthritis and how to get the most benefit from your exercise selection in the gym.

Peter specialises in cardiovascular development, anaerobic threshold training, strength and conditioning and late phase injury rehabilitation.

  3. The Dietitians at Nutrition Works provide practical and realistic nutrition advice for athletes and non-athletes alike. This includes you! They will be discussing how long-term lifestyle changes and the optimal diet can be achieved and enjoyed, to assist in the treatment of osteoarthritis.

Eating the right foods can mean more energy, healthy weight management and better concentration levels. Nutrition Works are passionate about helping you achieve and maintain your own personal nutrition goals while providing sensible nutrition advice and demonstrate how to apply this in real life.
