State Football Centre

The home of Football in Western Australia

Overview

The State Football Centre is jointly funded by the State and Commonwealth governments with the State contributing $24.42 million to its development at Queens Park Open Space.

The centre will be home to Football West’s day-to-day administration and includes a two-storey building with a grandstand, two competition pitches and training pitches, on-site parking, and three 5-a-side playing pitches.

The vestment of the venue with VenuesWest, brings the number of venues in our portfolio to 14, with this venue the first to be solely dedicated to the ‘beautiful game’. Football West will manage the day-to-day running of the venue including the management of commercial sponsorships while VenuesWest will own the asset on behalf of the State Government and assist Football West through the co-management agreement and oversee ongoing maintenance of the asset.

The Department of Local, Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) have been managing the development at Queens Park Open Space since Broad construction commenced work on the 16 hectare site in February 2022. The venue is expected to open in mid 2023.
