Employee Inclusion, Access & Diversity
Information on how VenuesWest is shaping our workforce
-
VenuesWest understands how difficult the job search process can be, especially for candidates identifying from underrepresented or marginalised communities. We aim to assist in this process by working closely with and building relationships with job search providers and their clients, helping to identify appropriate existing roles or even areas where new roles can be carved out and created.
-
VenuesWest wants all our employees to feel understood, accepted and included. We provided both online and in-person disability awareness training for all our employees, to improve our knowledge as an organisation and to ensure we have a working environment where everyone feels equal.
-
VenuesWest understands the differing needs and preferences of employees and candidates in how they receive communication and the manner in which information is relayed. We commit to provide any correspondence in both written and digital forms, whatever form is most easily digested and accessed by the employee or candidate.
-
VenuesWest understands having a truly inclusive and welcoming workplace means much more than just building a ramp and calling it a day. We conduct regular audits across all our venues and offices to scope out areas of improvement in accessibility and usability so that we stay up to date with the changing needs of our workforce.
-
VenuesWest will respect your privacy. We understand candidates from historically marginalised and underrepresented communities/demographics can be hesitant to share certain information, as they fear it may negatively impact their submission process and potential outcomes. VenuesWest will ensure your information stays confidential and does not affect your application result or role.
-
VenuesWest understands having a healthy, diverse workforce require a consistent ongoing showcase of effort and intention. Our Workplace, Diversity and Culture Committee exists to continuously stay in tune with the needs of the workplace and the employee that operate inside of it, and to be constantly pushing the organisation forward in meeting its diversity and inclusion goals.
-
VenuesWest fosters an environment where everyone can feel comfortable in their work, whether they sit behind a desk, stand beside a counter, or contribute remotely. We will ensure that we will collaborate with employment agencies or workplace modification organisations to find solutions and provide a safe, accessible space to meet our employees needs and goals.
