The Melbourne Demons and the Geelong Cats will face off in a Preliminary Final at Optus Stadium on Friday 10 September.

The Melbourne Demons will be aiming to secure their place in an AFL Grand Final for the first time since 2000 while the Cats will be aiming for redemption after finishing runners up last season.

The Demons will be full of confidence after beating the Brisbane Lions at the Adelaide Oval in a Qualifying Final while Geelong have hit form after accounting for the GWS GIANTS by 38 points in a Semi-Final.
