A national judo champion, a former Netball WA chief executive and the previous head of Southern Cross Austereo WA have been appointed as new members of the VenuesWest board.


Donna Oxenham, Scott Henderson and Linda Wayman's appointments took effect in July 2017.

Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray today welcomed the new appointments and thanked outgoing board members for their dedication and commitment to overseeing the organisation.

Ms Oxenham has won 35 State and two national judo titles. She has involvement in indigenous youth programs with an emphasis on healthy lifestyles and education.

Former Netball WA chief executive Mr Henderson is employed in the tertiary education sector and brings widespread sport and business management experience.

Ms Wayman is the former general manager of Southern Cross Austereo and has extensive experience in major sporting events, marketing and tourism.

Mr Murray thanked departing board members Dean Farmer, Stephanie McManus and Alex McKenzie on behalf of the State Government and the community.

VenuesWest owns 13 venues on behalf of the State Government, including Perth Arena, nib Stadium, Perth Stadium, HBF Stadium, HBF Arena and Perth Motorplex.
