MASKS

When are masks required at HBF Stadium?

  • When you arrive and leave HBF Stadium.
  • In the venue foyer and when moving through the venue.
  • In changerooms.
  • Before and after a gym workout, group fitness class, swim, or community sporting game.
  • When spectating community sport or sport programs.
  • It is recommended that you wear a mask outdoors where physical distancing is not possible.

When are masks not required at HBF Stadium?

  • For children who are 12 years of age or under.
  • When engaging in a form of strenuous or vigorous exercise or physical activity.
  • During your group fitness class.
  • During team sports games or training (masks must be worn before the game, while on the bench and immediately after).

When masks are required, I have an exemption, do I show it to you?

If a patron seeks to rely on an exemption for mask-wearing and/or vaccination against COVID-19, a responsible person for a venue (or the responsible person’s staff) is able to request the patron to produce evidence of the exception. VenuesWest will not permit entry to its venues, or affected areas within indoor sporting venues, including this one, by patrons who are not wearing a mask, or who do not provide proof of vaccination information (unless an exception applies to that person). As per the Directions, VenuesWest staff (who are authorised as responsible persons for this venue or who are the staff of the responsible person) will request proof (such as a medical certificate) of any exceptions. Failure to provide adequate proof of exemption will result in you being asked to leave the facility. Please understand this is a requirement from the State Government and we appreciate your continued support of our staff who are here to assist you and ensure the safety of all visitors to the centre.

PROOF OF VACCINATION

Where do I need to show proof of vaccination?

Currently, proof of vaccination can be provided to our staff at the gym or main reception. If you are a member of multi-entry cardholder, please show your proof of vaccination to our team in order to update your account. We request that you please be patient with our staff as we adjust to the new requirements. Please expect delays and give yourself extra time to check in at reception before your next workout or swim.

Why is the entire venue not required to show proof of vaccination?

The State Government advised that proof of double vaccination is not required for people attending pools or community sport. As a State Government owned facility, we are required to follow this Government direction along with other health measures and advice. As such VenuesWest are not in a position to reconsider the double vaccination requirements for swimmers or those participating in community sport.  Should State advice change, we will comply accordingly and communicate with our valued customers.

Who is required to show proof of vaccination when required?

The mandate currently only applies to patrons who are 16 years of age or older.

Will I need to show proof of vaccination for events at HBF Stadium?

Yes. For large, ticketed events you will need to show proof of vaccination.

When will this be going into effect?
