Schools - Bike Education Experience

The Bike Education Experience offers a range of recreational and sporting activities for school groups with children aged 10 and up, and is run by professional and qualified instructors.

Activities can be tailored to suit your group’s specific needs such as:

OUTDOOR CYCLE TRACK ACTIVITY

The Bike Education programme teaches children important bike riding skills. Children learn these skills by riding on a simulated road and navigating their way through stop signals and roundabouts. Children also learn the rules of the road including the correct use of hand signals.

These simple but important bike maintenance procedures are also taught:
• Repairing punctures
• Adjusting seat heights,
• Correctly fitting and adjusting their helmets.

INDOOR CYCLE TRACK ACTIVITY

The Indoor cycle track programme provides participants with an experience of a lifetime.

Instruction is provided by an experienced and knowledgeable cycling coach.

Participants learn:
• How to correctly set up and maintain their own bike.
• The correct tyre pressure needed to cycle on a velodrome track.
•  The do’s and don’ts of velodrome track cycling.

The track skill session is hands on and great fun, there may even be opportunity for a time trial or a sprint.
